After quietly joining the social media platform in December, Beyonce? posted her first TikTok video on Thursday in a compilation of user-generated content inspired by her recent hit single featuring Big Freedia, “Break My Soul.”
“Seeing y’all release the wiggle made me so happy!” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you so much for all the love for BREAK MY SOUL! – Love B.”
In June, Columbia Records announced that 28-time Grammy winning Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, would be released on July 29.
Renaissance is already available for pre-save on Apple Music, and shows that the project boasts 16 tracks. The songs’ titles, however, have yet to be revealed.
The shop on Beyonce.com reveals that the four collections — titled Pose 1, 2, 3 and 4, available only via the website — cost $39.99 and ship the day the album drops. Each box set will include a collectible Renaissance box, T-shirt, and CD; the cover art and various T-shirt designs will be revealed later.
According to People, the album will feature both dance and country-leaning tracks. In addition to featuring Jay-Z as a songwriter and The-Dream as a producer (who previously worked with Beyoncé on “Single Ladies,” “Partition,” and “Flawless”), Variety reports that the album features contributions from Ryan Tedder and Raphael Saadiq.
“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again,” Beyoncé told Harper’s BAZAAR‘ last September. “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”
A performer and artist like none before her, Beyoncé is set to fiercely move the culture forward as she’s done so many times before. Whether Lemonade, Black Is King, Before I Let Go, or her iconic 2018 Coachella performance, Beyoncé has consistently been Queen of the Culture and Renaissance is likely to have beyhives worldwide buzzing all summer.
